    A relative newcomer to the world of art. Winner of the King Lear Prize for Art (Beginners) 2023. Working mostly in acrylics but also in pencil. I have an eclectic range of paintings from pop art to seascapes, cloud studies and flowers to pencil drawings. Currently I am experimenting with pallet knife painting and achieving some interesting results.

    As a visual artist I use a multidisciplinary approach using different mediums such as photography, painting, drawing and printmaking, I combine the surrounding environment with my conceptual and perceptual state of mind in my work. To be true to myself as a contemporary artist is to encapsulate not only the depiction of form but the mood and emotion that will lead to a response from the viewer.

    Hey I'm Olivia, I'm a Yorkshire artist, and my story goes something like: "I didn't know I could paint". To that end, it took me 40+ years to realize I'm an artist! This 'accidental' discovery happened in 2021 when I found myself post-pandemic dabbling with paint. Within months I became a full-time artist. Three years on, and I'm still pinching myself that this is what I get to do.

    Lydia Porter is a contemporary artist based in London, working across video, writing, and bookmaking. These formats are used to investigate the surface of the image as an active site and a means of translation, with a specific focus on tactility and haptic awareness. Her works often focus on a specific place of interest, which then branches out into an in-depth investigation into its ambiguity.

    Becky is a freelance illustrator based in Leeds, UK. Becky creates work mainly focusing on favourite meals; food and drink, along with animals, plants and feelings of nostalgia.     Ruth Bateman’s paintings are a conflation of an internal and external landscape. Ruth has been striving to be heard. As someone who is neurodivergent, she has felt like an outsider for much of her life. Painting is an expression and celebration of her difference. It is a refusal to be contained or silenced.

    The Print Lass is the creation of Nikki Williams working from a basement studio in her West Yorkshire home. A colour lover with a passion for pattern and print. Her prints focus on texture and colour in both digital and screen printed formats. Her most recent addition is a series of folded and cut screen printed houses, with plans to develop the print and cut range.
