    I am an amateur photographer from Shropshire, England. My love for photography began when I was given my first camera as a child and I have over 65 photograph albums covering the past 28 years. My focus is now mainly on travel and landscape photography. This was inspired during lockdown when I was able to spend many hours exploring my immediate surroundings.

    I am a visual artist living and working from my studio on the Isle of Wight. I paint directly onto glass surfaces with my hands. I smear and throw thick etching ink onto surfaces whilst listening to music as an emotional trigger to create abstract marks and shapes. These are then layered to create multilayers pieces that sit between painting and sculpture.

I worked as a creative facilitator, mentor, curator & researcher for 10 years, for orgs such as Cartwheel Arts, Pool Arts and ARC.     I grew up in the heart of the textile industry, and spent many childhood days playing amongst the derelict mills that are our heritage. After travelling extensively, I was drawn back by the rugged and remote beauty of the Pennines. My passion is capturing the drama of our landscape, its social and industrial heritage and the lives of the people who lived and worked here then and now.

I first trained in ceramics and then studied fine art sculpture and printmaking, at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, from which I graduated BA Hons in 1992. My current art practice is focused on printmaking and charcoal drawings
