This opportunity is only open to members of the Walkley Edge Artists art group in Sheffield. Members can submit work for a group exhibition.

Fronteer Gallery are accepting artwork submissions from members of Walkley Edge Artists in Sheffield.

Please note that we will check with the group to make sure anyone who submits work to this open call is a member of the art group before we accept your work.

Anyone who submits work and is not a member of Walkley Edge Artists you will not be able to take part in the exhibition.

Artists are welcome to submit as many works as they like for consideration, with the aim of selecting a minimum of two pieces per artist to be included.

At least one piece must be 30cm or smaller.

The maximum size for submissions is 1 metre in any direction.

Please note, that although there is a maximum size limit of 30cm and 1 metre, we only have a limited capacity to include larger works, and smaller works are much more likely to be accepted.

Sculptural work should fit on a 30x30cm plinth, and should not exceed 50cm height x 30cm x 30cm. 

Artists are welcome to submit as many works as they like, in any medium, except audio or video works. Please complete a separate submission form for each piece of work that you submit.

You may provide a short description of no more than 150 words which will be displayed alongside the work.   

Payment to participate in the exhibition will be organised amongst Walkley Edge Artists themselves, and not with Fronteer Gallery.

The exhibition will run from 17th - 21st June 2025.

There will be a private view event on 17th June 5.30-7pm.

Please note, the gallery is upstairs and there is no disabled access.

The submission deadline is 17th May 2025.

Successful artists will be contacted by 19th May 2025.

Successful artists are welcome to send their work by post. 

Work sent by post should reach us by 5th June 2025 at the latest.

Artists are also welcome to deliver work in person to the gallery during gallery opening hours between 17th May - 5th June.

Work can be offered for sale during the exhibition, and there is a commission charge of 10%.

Work can be collected from the gallery on 23rd June or during gallery opening hours between 1st- 17th July 2025.

If you would like your work returning to you by post please be aware that we charge a fee which includes a £4 handling fee and the cost of 2nd Class signed for postage.

Larger parcels can be returned through Parcelforce and will be sent Express 48. Couriers cannot collect your work from the gallery and we do not print postage labels.
