    I am a visual artist who creates drawing and paintings that explore and express acrobatic movement and embodied experience.     I use digital media to create surreal images from photographs using clouds, eyes and dandelions to produce striking images that can be both strong and fragile. I am a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in graphics, fashion design and portraiture.

    Jayaargh, the working name of John Rowlinson, artist and printmaker. He has been working mainly in print, using a variety of methods including lino, drypoint etching, monotypes and cyanotypes. Currently making a series of works using the Polaroid Lift process.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However, in 2020 I had the opportunity to explore and experiment uninterrupted. My printmaking practice has now extended to other forms of printmaking.

    I studied at Kingston University and the Royal Academy, London and have exhibited throughout the UK and abroad including Spain, Germany, Iceland, Korea and USA. I work with site responsive installation and numerous media. My work takes the form of energy fields unexpectedly made visible, with a core theme of renewal, linking to environmental issues and spirituality in its broadest sense.

    I've worked as a freelance documentary photographer since leaving Art School in 1968. My final year project on A.S. Neill and his democratic school, Summerhill, was published as a Penguin Education Special in 1969. My work is at the National Portrait Gallery, Tate Britain Library, the National Art Library at the V&A, the V&A Museum of Childhood and la Bibliothèque nationale de France.
