    My artistic practice is a response to architecture and the natural environment and reflects on particular sites in the context of poetry and literature.     I have been painting and exhibiting since 1998 and spent 12 years in Vietnam where I owned a gallery. I am so happy to be back in my native Yorkshire. My recent watercolour and acrylic works concern themes such as Origins, Belonging and the Joy of Life. I believe in the honesty of art and follow where my inspirations lead me.     I am a 50 year old man originally from Yorkshire, but I now live near Durham in the Northeast. I have enjoyed several careers from being a Graphic Artist, to serving 10 years in the RAF as an Intelligence Analyst and most recently being a Registered Mental Health nurse.
