    Embroiderer and wordsmith, Catherine Hill is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist based in the UK. Her artistic vision is drawn from her childhood memories growing up in the English county of Lancashire in the 1970’s.     With an eye for intricate detail and curiosity for pre-owned items, my work focuses on how an object evokes personal comfort through recognition and familiarity. Inspired by everyday objects that often go unnoticed, from matchsticks to hook-and eye fastenings, I create handcrafted jewellery and personal possessions, some of which are wearable and others merely companions to our everyday lives.
