I'm a ceramic sculptor who loves clay. The infinite possibilities of clay as a medium appeals to my need to constantly evolve my work as well as my love of learning and challenging myself. I love trying new techniques and pushing the boundaries with much of my work now single fired. Teaching adds another layer to that as I run a membership, classes and workshops from my Cambridgeshire studio.

I was born with autism, am dyslexic, have a high IQ, went through an event aged 17 and then another linked event aged 18 that left me with PTSD and that caused developmental issues in my brain leading to the symptoms of ADHD now being prevalent.

I mostly paint, draw and print. While usually figurative my subjects are rarely quite human. I'm also interested in landscape that bears the oft-troubling traces of human presence. These are dark times. I feel perpetually shocked that we have ended up here. I try to explore this in my work. I committed to making art seriously late in life. Late enough to do it frivolously.

Dreams. Stories. Fantasies. My paintings are portals to imaginary worlds, interconnected parallel universes, a journey in search for the authentic being within. They are meant as a short immersive experience, an escape from the boredom of day to day life, a philosophical experience that asks questions and gives answers at the same time.

I have lived and walked in both urban & natural environments from London to Staffordshire and currently near Nottingham. In 2015 I completed an MA in Fine Art, through using my culture of walking, and I’m inspired by ‘edgeland’ landscapes. Drawing on the materiality of landscape, and with techniques such as frottage I consider notions around ‘mapping’ and the ‘reality’ of what we see

As a woman in my middle years, my art practice is all about exploring the natural cycles of the seasons and how they connect to the phases of womanhood—growth, change, and renewal. Balancing motherhood with creativity over the years has given me a unique perspective, helping me appreciate the quiet strength and resilience found in these cycles, much like the transitions we experience as women.
