    Exploring the lost and found, the past and how it has shaped us, connection and heritage are the themes central to my work. I seek to create a certain atmosphere and emotion.     I used painting as a kind of self-help therapy for years before pursuing a dedicated painting practice. Art is now a staple in my creative diet and abstract is my favourite dish! I seek to feed the world with art! Its a challenge and a calling as I believe in the power of making art to evoke healing and move us into higher states of consciousness. I think of art as my vehicle to enlightenment.

    Katy works with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She is currently making wearable accessories and clothing using the same techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and shops. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

    I am a contemporary artist and jewellery maker in Leeds. I graduated in 2020 from the Uni of Leeds School of Design. I craft chainmail into lace-like patterns to create wearable works and sculpture which are made to express my ideas around gender. I have exhibited with the Crafts Council and I am an alumni of their 2021 Crafting Business Programme supported by Crafting Europe.

    I am an artist blacksmith who has an joy and love of metal since time began people have created and to me its inspiring how one can view nature and then manoeuvre iron into a version of nature. I use mostly recycled materials and things others throw away to try and bring beauty into the things others see as rubbish to lease new life and joy into what was once unloved. I'm a lover of history.

    Hi I’m Kate. I generally use a wide range of media to draw, paint and sculpt my work. I also tend towards abstract or realistic with occasional pieces in the middle ground. Ever since I fell ill with hashimoto’s my life has been one medical battlefield to another. I nearly lost my life three times. Now I’m a Zebra (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and am finally back doing something I love, creating.

    Shapes jump out at me. Encouraged by my own stereo blindness, shapes that could be seen as a face or body, merge and spring from anywhere. In nature, in the studio or reading a magazine, these pareidolic face experiences influence my collages, photographs and paintings. They explore the flatness of my perception and the depth of what seems to be reality.
