    In the last year I have returned to full time education following a decade of being a stay at home parent. Juggling artistic practices with the mundane and often seeing the world through the eyes of young children curious about the little things. I am a member of Seacourt Print Workshop and continuing on at college studying ceramics.

    My work is completely concerned with context, process and materials. I make paintings, drawings and collages, often on a very large scale. I use the dark room as an experimental space, making camera less imagery and double exposed 35mm. I use Lo-Fi audio techniques collecting field recordings and glitched samples.

    Since having completed a BA Hons (2013) and MA in Fine Art at NUA in 2014, Emma has shown frequently in Norwich, London and abroad. She has work held in the permanent collection at NUA, and has been seen in both British Vogue and Aesthetica. As a painter, specialising in large scale abstract work, Emma is constantly looking for exhibitions and opportunities for collaboration.

    I make detailed paintings, drawings and installations depicting marginal areas. I use traditional methods and materials in a unique way, building my work up in a layered practice that refers to both etching and primitive photography. I am based in London. I m a former recipient of the Jerwood Drawing Prize and was shortlisted for the John Moores Prize in 2014, winning the Visitors Choice.

    I am a contemporary Textile Artist and Feltmaker living and working from my home studio in the Peak District. I take inspiration from forms and textures in the natural world in particular pebbles and found objects gathered on coastal walks and the hills, edges, weather and changing light and colours of the Peak District.

    Life has taken me through many twists, turns and shifts during which my creative passion has ebbed and flowed but never faded. The last 5 years has seen my definitive return to art. Following an introduction to mixed media in the summer of 2018 I embarked on a 3 year intensive artistic study.     I enjoy bringing together a variety of printmaking processes in my work – reduction linocuts, two-plate etchings, drypoint, screenprint and monotype drawings. I’m interested in the different possibilities and restrictions of markmaking and the possibilities of combining printmaking with animation and other mediums.
