    I am currently a MA student studying Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Previously, I studied Ceramics and craft Art at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in China. My work spans sculpture, installation, painting, and illustration. My creative themes mostly revolve around existentialism, the unnoticed cracks in everyday life, and the subtle emotions evoked in humans.

    My practice is muti-disciplinary but a unifying starting point for most of my work is print or collage. I am an artist and educator interested in the social applications of art. I like to create work that is playful and invites interaction in some way. Ritual, play, wonder, performance, perceptions of reality and imagined narratives are all important themes within my practice.

    I only returned to using clay several years ago after a break of over 35 years and following work-related mental health issues. The charity Create Bolton supported me in rediscovering my love of ceramics and encouraging me to develop my own style of making. My work is inspired by my love of nature and my style is still evolving.

    Hello, my name is Luminița Bălănescu and I am from Bucharest, Romania. My work transits between art and yarn sculpture, being composed of several pieces of colored rope attached to canvas and, thus, creating a complex network of branches that intertwine, the result being truly unique.

    Mary Rouncefield works as a freelance artist, having graduated as a mature student from the University of the West of England, in 2009. She has exhibited extensively in UK and abroad.     Shane attended the Leeds College of Art and then studied Fine Art in Birmingham. He has worked in educational establishments passing on his knowledge and also exhibited in the USA. He is currently working as a painter and sculptor in Otley.

    I'm a self-taught artist who mostly dabbles in illustration and painting, My work is kitschy and bright, typically with feminist undertones. Representation is at the core of my practice, which is why I try and depictfolks of all intersections in my work.     I became a full-time Artist and Illustrator in 2012 after working for around 20 years in multimedia, E-learning and then corporate communications. Originally brought up on the East Yorkshire coast, I'm based in my home studio in the beautiful city of York now, working primarily in mixed media: painting, drawing and printmaking.
