    Andrew Bryant (b. 1971) is an artist and mentor based in Cornwall, UK. A former editor for a-n and Tate Online, he holds an MFA from Goldsmiths College and was shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2022 and 2026. Informed by psychoanalysis, posthumanism and climate change, his work explores how surface and materiality shape perception, exposing and obscuring deeper structures.

    River Smith (b.1993) is a Manchester-based contemporary artist working across sculpture, installation, drawing and painting. Drawing on autistic perception and traumatic childhood experiences, their practice explores sensory experience, interpersonal connection, childhood and play through tactile, often interactive objects and environments.

    I work across and between object making, performance to camera, video, book works, actions and more. Work often hops between media and processes as it develops. Much of the screen based and online work hints at a longing for the physical and for touch. Other themes include cultural ignorance and ways we are positioned by power relationships (as exemplified by language or objects).

Working with textiles and mixed media, they address themes of queer, trans, disabled embodiment, whilst noticing the nuances and interconnectedness of experiences. Community involvement and research, and repurposing found and inherited materials, is integral to their practice.
