    I am a multimedia 3D artist, specialising in ceramics. My work is responsive – responding to ideas, events or collections of objects.     I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture. Both are seen as metaphors for the body and for human experience. I have been investigating this relationship for 20 years. I work mainly for exhibition or in residency and have a studio in my local town of Stourbridge, in the West Midlands.

    I am interested in exploring photography as ‘Inframedium’, playing with the boundaries of the photographic object, its material ‘nature’ and the visual possibilities that exist within it. Stripping away the ‘Apparatus’ of the camera and thus stepping out of the arena of the technical image, I am exploring a different set of gestures with which to reveal the material’s phenomenological potential.

    My work is a reflection of the scars left on me from the horrors of my past. Though my emotions are constantly evolving, an undercurrent of suffering persists. The pain I’ll always remember. I strive to create art that captures the complexities within my subconscious. Raw, unadulterated, free. Language fails to have the words to express my innermost feelings, but on a canvas I am free.
