    Neurodivergent visual artist exploring embodied experience through drawing, painting and mixed media. My work draws on my background as a former elite gymnast and responds to movement, sensation and mental imagery emerging through EMDR therapy. Projects include ‘ProPriOception’ (Arts Council England - DYCP) and ‘Exploring Embodied Experience’, supported by a CuratorSpace Artist Bursary.

    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Mona Whitton is a mixed media artist, who enjoys pushing the boundaries of the media she works in. from stained glass to textiles, resin to acrylics, she believes in experimenting with the media she is working with to find innovative and exciting ways of expressing herself.     My paintings explore architectural spaces and structures shaped by memory, displacement, invention and perception. Working in layered oil paint, I build and erode surfaces, balancing structure with chance and material behaviour. I hold an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art and have exhibited widely, including a recent museum solo exhibition at Lakeside Arts, Nottingham.

    I am a Brighton based artist. A working mum who tries to find a time and space to express herself via art. This is passion that has been put aside and pushed down the long to do list. Putting myself first became very important since last year I had a mental breakdown and panick attack.
