    I am a contemporary painter based in Carshalton. I draw my inspiration from my surroundings, emotions and my travels. I am mostly self-taught but recently completed a foundation in Art & Design course at West Dean College.     I work in the medium of film/video and photography. I studied photography before going on to study fine art at Leeds where I specialised in video art. As a filmmaker I've made creative films for Screen Yorkshire and North West Vision in England. My photographs have been exhibited online and in galleries, both in the UK and internationally.

    I’m Elizabeth Benson, a UK-based artist working between textile and sculpture. I explore how cloth, dye and fibre respond to contact, pressure and time, using natural dyes, tannins and iron to create layered works where colour and form emerge through interaction rather than control.

    I am an author I studied for an MA in art and a BA graduated in both, and then went on to study psychology. I have done various psychotherapy courses and classes. I am now more into doing the thing I love most painting. I am from Cyprus my family were refugees in Cyprus. I have lived in England for over sixty years. I did a lot of work in catering.
