    I'm a painter of nature, climate, weather and natural phenomenon using recessive colours, working in Norfolk, UK. My work is associated with embracing the shadow side of the natural world, themes of non self, and a deep concern for the state of the climate. I predominantly use oil for landscapes and seascapes with a limited colour palette, which shifts slowly over time.

    I work with site-responsive installation, photography and video using light, space and wind and am inspired by the ordinary, the everyday and the need to find meaning in our lives.     I have been working as a sculptor and upcycle artist for nearly a decade, turning discarded plastic and found materials into meaningful sculptures that carry my personal reflection. My work is inspired by a deep love for humanity and the sacredness of nature.     My name is Harriet Pybus and iv recently spent a lot of time reflecting back on photographs that I have taken over the years. My photographs provide sanctuary from the turmoil of the modern world.     Having studied Fine Art at Reading University my passion to share my love for sculpture and ceramics led me to later graduate from Edge Hill University as a teacher of art and design. After 13 years teaching sculpture, ceramics, and fine art to pre-degree students, sharing my time between artist and educator, I now work as a full-time ceramic artist in my garden studio in West Lancashire.
