    I discovered sculpture in 2024 and create expressive animal forms, often focusing on endangered species. My work explores fragility, protection and hope, using storytelling in clay to raise awareness and turn survival into purpose.

    Mary Rouncefield works as a freelance artist, having graduated as a mature student from the University of the West of England, in 2009. She has exhibited extensively in UK and abroad.     Noémie Soula (France/UK) is an artist and researcher using storytelling and craft as creative tools to explore biotechnologies, genetics, and the relationship between humans and non-humans.     I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    I trained and worked as a primary teacher early on in my career, before motherhood took over and I took time to raise my family. I returned to work as a teaching assistant and supply teacher part time, before I took the plunge and embarked on an access course in art and design. I haven't looked back since, gaining a BA, followed by an MA in Fine Art, and I am at present continuing my research.
