    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    Ashley Cundall is a Manchester based British contemporary artist best known for expressive urban and architectural paintings, particularly of UK cityscapes and coastal towns. He works mainly in acrylic, mixed media, and watercolour, often combining loose washes with bold line work, using Impressionistic and Expressionistic elements.

    I'm an Artist & Qualified Art Teacher based in Leeds with a master's in Contemporary Fine Arts Practices. My work is inspired by African Art, Rastafarian Culture, and Roots Reggae. I've received the Edna Lumb Travel Scholarship and the Black Achievers Award. My recent public artwork "Church Windows of no Return" is displayed at Leeds Kirkgate Market and textiles at British The British Library.

    I am a contemporary painter based in Carshalton. I draw my inspiration from my surroundings, emotions and my travels. I am mostly self-taught but recently completed a foundation in Art & Design course at West Dean College.     Jelena Havelka is an abstract painter and printmaker based in Leeds. She holds a PhD in Psychology, and her art education comes from residencies and workshops with artists and printmakers in Yorkshire.     I work across and between object making, performance to camera, video, book works, actions and more. Work often hops between media and processes as it develops. Much of the screen based and online work hints at a longing for the physical and for touch. Other themes include cultural ignorance and ways we are positioned by power relationships (as exemplified by language or objects).
