    Born in Nottinghamshire, Stuart Reid completed a Foundation course in Art and Design at Grimsby School of Art. He studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art and Birmingham School of Art (Postgraduate Painting). He lives in East London and works in a Space Studio.     Currently my practice is built around transition, on curiosity and discovery, I have no fixed media on how to create works with depth, texture, and atmosphere, but it happens. I layer can colour, gesture, and even fragments of text to form pieces that feel alive with energy and meaning, inviting viewers to pause and connect.

    Trained, practiced and taught Graphic Design turned to Printmaking as a main practice since 2017. Concentrated on Linocut initially predominantly 'Reduction'. Recently returned to college for an Adult learning Printmaking course and introduced to Tetrapak, Drypoint, Aquatint and other Intaglio processes which has expanded my outlook on many other possibilities and approaches.
