    Through my work I want to explore the mythological representation of women and how stories have been influenced and reengineered by patriarchy. How women have been written out of folklore and how stories have been changed to fit in with this ideology.

    Currently studying a BA (Hons) in Textiles Practice at Bradford School of Art, I am a multidisciplinary artist and see the world around me as a series of patterns.     I've been working in education as a technician in various guises for over ten years. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and encounters that crosses specialist subject areas and allows me to bring in processes from different specialism into my art practice. I am currently undertaking my Masters in History of Design run jointly by the RCA and V&A.

    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    Caitriona Dunnett is an Irish artist based in the UK. She has a BA Hons in Photography from Nottingham Trent University and an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Her practice explores memory and the traces people leave behind, the paths they weave through time and the legacies attached to them, specifically looking at land, heritage and nature, through alternative photographic processes.
