    I’m Jane and I’m a fine silver contemporary jewellery maker. I came to art as an outlet whilst being a full time carer though I’ve always loved the arts especially galleries. I’m due to commence an arts degree in June 2026 to deepen my love of drawing.

    Jenny Beard (b. 1994) is a Leeds-based artist from Barnsley whose abstract, textural paintings explore digital aesthetics, dissociation, and working-class identity. Influenced by Action painting, Meta-painting and Postdigital art, she works mainly with oil, acrylic, and mixed media on canvas.

    I am a graphic designer and a visual artist. I work mostly in oil on canvas but work sometimes with acrylic and water colour. Most of my recent paintings were influenced political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of the Renaissance artists. I do not like artworks to be just for decoration but to evoke feelings.

    Stephanie Douet lives and works in rural Norfolk, and read Art History at UEA and Fine Art at NUA. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally, including V&A, Modern Art Oxford, Istanbul Art Fair, Creekside Open, the Museum of Legacies, Jaipur, with a solo exhibition at the Croatian Embassy in London in 2024. Douet was shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2019.

    In 2024 I became aware of the huge potential of acrylics so have switched across from watercolours that I have done for 10 years or so. Loving the fact that you can use almost anything to create a picture and it is a far more creative media. I use the brand name 'Random Acrylics' because they will be exactly that as you will see what you want to see.

    I live in Knaresborough where I have a home studio. I graduated in Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon School of Art with a postgraduate at Goldsmiths University, London. I also studied printmaking at the Curwen Print Study Centre receiving my diploma from Sir Stanley Jones.     I have spent most of my life working as a nurse. However, the urge to paint has always remained. Engaging with abstract painting gives me the freedom to create without constraints or predetermined outcomes, fostering a sense of excitement and anticipation akin to the initial notes of a beloved song.
