    Born in Lancashire, painting and drawing since a young child, I gained a degree in graphic design and pursued a career in design for over 25 years, whilst continuing to paint. Painting is my passion and my purpose. Now concentrating fully on painting professionally. Specialising in portraits and abstracts, working in acrylics capturing vibrancy, energy, strength, balance and beauty in my work.

    Mixed media artist working primarily in 3D exploring ideas around non-scientific means to influence the world and people. By using the language of fetish, charm, ceremony, etc., using found and sustainably created objects and combining them I find new meanings. My origins in Africa as an outsider and early life on dark remote farms underpins my work.

    With 20 years of puppetry performance, my practice is centred on a somatic exploration of the philosophy of manipulation and being, facillitated through water and the elements. Integrating somatic practice, philosophy, manipulation of objects and environmental awareness, my performative art practice challenges conventional investigative methodology by exploring the limits of puppetry and thought.

    My interdisciplinary practice stems from a fascination with the intersections between art and science; especially in relation to the body. Recent interests have turned to the posthuman body, investigating ideas around symbiosis, sympoiesis and speculative futures, re/imagining how bodies may adapt/evolve through learning from and with our non-human counterparts.
