    I am an author I studied for an MA in art and a BA graduated in both, and then went on to study psychology. I have done various psychotherapy courses and classes. I am now more into doing the thing I love most painting. I am from Cyprus my family were refugees in Cyprus. I have lived in England for over sixty years. I did a lot of work in catering.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However, in 2020 I had the opportunity to explore and experiment uninterrupted. My printmaking practice has now extended to other forms of printmaking.

    I work with site-responsive installation, photography and video using light, space and wind and am inspired by the ordinary, the everyday and the need to find meaning in our lives.     I am a painter who is interested in people, places, objects and groups in society. My role as a teacher informs my work and I often respond to my immediate environment. Painting offers a special opportunity to combine imagery, technique and art historical references to tell stories and suggest ideas.     The multi-layered intricate collaged artworks and paintings of Bristol based Clare are truly individual and thrive on personality, with sometimes cheeky mixtures of imagery and texture.
