    Kate Jennings is a Leeds-based multidisciplinary artist with a Master’s in Fine Art. Rooted in expression, her practice explores emotion as a form of release and reflection. Initially focused on screen printing and protest, her work shifted after a personal loss in 2023. She now creates instinctively, using art as a way to let go while maintaining a commitment to community engagement.

    I am a photographer and a qualified teacher. I tutor workshops in basic digital photography and cyanotype printing. My main practice is in documentary photography. I also have a passion for Camera Obscura and have designed and built my own portable CO. Inspired by largescale artworks I also have a passion for light paintings and abstractions made at night.

    Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms.     My pieces are born out of the necessity to understand the inner self and to express emotions beyond words. Each work delves into the macabre and the sinister, juxtaposed against the beauty of nature.
