    Oluwafemi Omoboriowo is a Nigerian-born, UK-based hyper-realistic pencil and mixed-media artist whose work intricately weaves themes of migration, identity, and cultural transition. Born in Abuja, Nigeria, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Obafemi Awolowo University (ACE Chapter) and a Master’s in Fine Art with Advanced Practice from Teesside University, UK.

    I am a self-taught painter based in Newcastle upon Tyne.     Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered. Mixed media, conceptual artist exploring emotional memory through textured abstraction, found objects and sculptural surfaces. Through painting, photography, travel or writing, create layered works that invite viewers to slow down, look deeper and discover what often unseen.

    I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work. I have designed and run events, workshops and participatory installations exploring community, people's relationship to each other and encouraging creativity and self exploration.
