    Creative expression has always been intrinsic to my life having worked with pencil, pen and ink, lino cut, oil pastel, watercolour and acrylics. After retiring in 2017 I followed my passion for mid century design restoring and selling sewing boxes internationally. I then returned to mixed media work in 2021.     I'm a painter of nature, climate, weather and natural phenomenon using recessive colours, working in Norfolk, UK. My work is associated with embracing the shadow side of the natural world, themes of non self, and a deep concern for the state of the climate. I predominantly use oil forlandscapes and seascapes with a tight four colour palette, which shifts slowly over time.

    My name is Meg Bristol. I am an acrylic painter from Cornwall. I currently studying at the University of Leeds, working in acrylic depictions of the ordinary. My work is designed to appeal to those who enjoy the beauty of a quiet moment. I use my work to slow down time, taking a closer look at the familiar buildings we pass idly on the way to work, or relaxing in the memory of a cleansing bath.
