Report this?I live and work in the South Downs National Park. The downs are full of ancient trails and folklore, I’m not a greatly spiritual person but I love old European fairytales and the work of MR James. Walking my dog I find new views and inspiration. I work in watercolour, pastels and gouache. Mark-making is a constant source of fascination.

Report this?In 2024 I became aware of the huge potential of acrylics so have switched across from watercolours that I have done for 10 years or so. Loving the fact that you can use almost anything to create a picture and it is a far more creative media. I use the brand name 'Random Acrylics' because they will be exactly that as you will see what you want to see.

Report this?Josh's work is strongly influenced by his lived experiences, coming from a working class canal gypsy background, living with dyslexia and depression and being a gay man. His work often looks at everyday life from a 'different' point of view and creates work that is dramatic, absurd and arresting. He is based on the Isle of Wight and exhibits across the south and London.

Report this?Vivid, gestural oil paintings reveal a fascination with emotional states, with the help of unwitting accomplices captured from feature film and TV- their surfaces hint at depths of emotion below. Forever given pause, they comment on emotional entanglement with the artificial as a substitute – or perhaps immunisation against- the fluctuating feelings of everyday life.
