    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    Currently, I am primarily interested in exploring human/nature discourses through a narrative practice that engages with objects (natural and human-made), representation, and employing a range of processes and means of making.     I am a contemporary painter based in Carshalton. I draw my inspiration from my surroundings, emotions and my travels. I am mostly self-taught but recently completed a foundation in Art & Design course at West Dean College. Drawing and painting has always been my way of communicating when words felt insufficient - a sensibility that continues to shape my artistic voice.

    I am a woodcarver, artificer and artisan pictorial sign maker. My sculpture is often for memorials, both for highly personal private remembrance and for Public Spaces. All my work is concerned with sustainability, climate change and environmental responsibility. My work has been exhibited widely in the UK and online. I sculpture in the Public Collection and on permanent display.
