    Zara Ramsay is a mixed media artist working across sculpture and installation. Since receiving her BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2016) Ramsay has continued to develop her practice independently whilst developing technical skills through studio placements including those at Troy Town Pottery, Aarron Angell’s ceramic studio and Peter Layton Glass Blowing.

    I am an emergent mixed media artist who enjoys exploring via photographs, collages and notebooks the world. By capturing movements of people I engage with a meaningful dialogue that lights invisible messages, for me, to interpret.     My work explores the relationship between science and art. I visited the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics and I was inspired to paint. Struck by the huge space hardware, it seemed to me that space exploration represented the most positive aspects of humanity. Great achievements are only made possible by the collaboration of skilled, knowledgeable people working together towards a common goal.

    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    David Ian Bickley is an award-winning media artist whose body of work spans the primitive technological of the 1970’s to the digital cutting edge of today. His media work has manifested as television, installation, electronic music and video art. His themes reside in mythic and folklore motif and often use landscape as a form to reflect and process these ideas.

    My ceramic sculptures possess a strong voice and, and a bold narrative about contrast, visual drama and playfulness. They are visually and haptically exciting. I have an MA in ceramics, and exhibit my work in the UK and abroad. My work has been shortlisted for a number of national and international prizes, and is held in public and private collections in the UK, USA and Italy .
