    Rhiannon Kendall is a Contemporary Artist and Poet, Prison Teacher and Freelance Art Workshop Facilitator who lives and works in York, North Yorkshire, UK (b. 1996). Drawing, Painting, Poetry and Spoken word are all central to the Artist's practice. Rhiannon's work is often inspired by her experiences of being a queer woman from a working class council estate and mining village background.

    About me I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002 with a degree in Sculpture. I have been a Youth Worker for over 30 years. I love lino print for its sculptural aspects including carving to mark make and making impressions. Print making is relief making. My practice is playful, explorative and reactive.     Through painting, I share my experiences as a woman artist in my mid 30’s. I tackle issues like mental health, love, and pressures of being a woman in today’s society. I do this inspired by art history and particularly focus on the subject of the self.

    I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest. I sell my work online, at contemporary craft shows and through a number of galleries around the U.K.

    I am a textile artist using machine embroidery as my main medium. I work in my studio in Sheffield called 'Stitched Up and Fleeced'. I trained at Bolton Art College Foundation Course 1971-2 , Loughborough College of Art and Design Degree in Stitched Textiles 1975, PGCE Art and Design at Leicester 1976, Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen since 1996 and awarded a Fellowship in 2013.

    Sam Haynes started her practice over twenty five years ago creating site specific public art installations, engaging local communities. Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference domestic and architectural space.
