I have been painting and exhibiting since 1998 and spent 12 years in Vietnam where I owned a gallery. I am so happy to be back in my native Yorkshire. My recent watercolour and acrylic works concern themes such as Origins, Belonging and the Joy of Life. I believe in the honesty of art and follow where my inspirations lead me. Inspirations include Hundertwasser, Doig, Hurvin Anderson and Hockney.

Her obsession with colour, surface & texture has been a common thread throughout her art practice for over 30 years. She explores the fragility of being human through connection to place & considers a spiritual return to the forgotten landscapes of our ancestors.

I incorporate traditional and contemporary artistic techniques to create an altered sense of reality. I explore the complex relationship between human life and the natural environment, portraying a world that is dramatic and beautiful, as well as constantly changing.

I am a painter who has moved into three dimensions. My painting is very classical in technique, using glazes to achieve tones and contrasts. The work is abstract in concept but in retrospect I find it grows out of my immediate and long term visual experiences.
