    I was born in 1968 in Bridgend, Wales, where I am currently based. I retired in 2024 after a long and distinguished career as a Registered Nurse and am now focussing on developing my career as an artist having demonstrated a love and talent for art from a very young age.

    A recent MA Graduate interested in colour and the way light, movement and scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) materials.

    I am an abstract artist and Creative Mentor Predominantly working in acrylic on canvas, with a Expressionist style I have been drawn to this aspect of painting for several years.     Vivid, gestural oil paintings reveal a fascination with emotional states, with the help of unwitting accomplices captured from feature film and TV- their surfaces hint at depths of emotion below. Forever given pause, they comment on emotional entanglement with the artificial as a substitute – or perhaps immunisation against- the fluctuating feelings of everyday life.

    Amy Sterly is originally from Chicago and received a B.F.A. in drawing and sculpture from Rockford College, Illinois in 1986. She moved to the U.K. in 1989 and has since exhibited throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. She is exploring ways of using domestic objects to make prints and installations. Collaborations and public interventions are an important aspect of her practice.

    Having been an artist since I was little, I practised properly as a professional artist since 2020. I studied at Dumfries and Galloway college doing Art and Design at HND level I went on to study at home on self portraits, I practise daily my technique and my love for the female form. I was a model between 16-25 years old, and have the same outlook that the female body is beautiful.

    Eugene Power trained in fine art painting at Falmouth School of Art and University of East London and has worked as a lecturer in Adult and Further Education for over 25 years. His main practice is in painting, but he also works with photography, assemblage and collage.

    My material-led practice includes sculpture, textiles and painting. I studied Sculpture at Chelsea College of Art, and History of Art & French at UCL. I have exhibited in the UK and Ireland, received funding from Arts Council England, and was a Lead Artist on Artichoke’s national artwork Processions in 2018.
