    I am a mixed media artist and Designer/ Maker I have always been interested in interdisciplinary or mixed-media arts exploring different mediums, i trained in the North East of England at university of Northumbria in Newcastle. recently designing and building structures for festival installation.     Emily Joy (UK, 1982) is a socially and environmentally engaged artist making sculpture, installation, and performative work. Emily is also a ceramic sculpture tutor and facilitates public creative projects as half of creative partnership ‘Periscope’. Currently exploring Swiss glacial melt and associated ecological and social impacts, her practice centres around communication, empathy and ecology.

    I have been painting for approximately 12 years but have only recently taken steps towards building my artwork in to more than just a hobby.     Milly Aburrow (b.2001, Chichester, UK) is a 2023 graduate of Bath Spa University, completing a BA in Fine Art (Hons). Through a playful colour palette and a comical stylisation, her work characterises the parameters of commercialisation, consumerist society, and particularly our contemporary food culture that defines a part of everyone's life.

    Vivid, gestural oil paintings reveal a fascination with emotional states, with the help of unwitting accomplices captured from feature film and TV- their surfaces hint at depths of emotion below. Forever given pause, they comment on emotional entanglement with the artificial as a substitute – or perhaps immunisation against- the fluctuating feelings of everyday life.
