    I am a contemporary painter whose work centres on colour, form and symbolism through large-scale still life paintings. Working in acrylic, I create compositions where ancient deities and symbolic objects inhabit lush, foliage-rich environments. Through expressive brushwork and vivid colour, I draw upon still life traditions while embracing a contemporary, intuitive approach.

    As a self taught artist I create brave and bold, sea and land scapes created using oil paint and palette knives. Capturing nature’s elements, its extremes of light and dark, its stillness and ferocity. Hope just on the horizon. Originally from Sheffield now living in Derbyshire with my family.     My practice crosses performance, sculpture and moving image, inhabiting a flickering state between rational and non-rational realities, to create powerful mash-ups, hybrid half-truths, not-quite-lies. My work is in the Saatchi Collection and was exhibited in ‘Known Unknowns’ at Saatchi Gallery throughout 2018. I have performed at the Tate Modern and at performance festivals in UK and abroad.

    Arabella Ross is an artist whose vibrant paintings and collages blend colour, emotion, and storytelling.  Inspired by nature and guided by instinct, her work is spontaneous and expressive.  Beneath bold colours, Ross explores deeper emotional themes of grief, loss, and transformation. Through symbolic and subconscious imagery, she creates a universal visual language as shared human experience.
