    I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.

    I grew up in Zambia, studied Classics and Education at St. Mary’s University in London, and later graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a B.A. Honours in Fine Art. As teacher and artist, my interests have often overlapped. I have exhibited in many English and European cities, as can be seen in my CV on this website.     Henny Burnett is a mixed media installation artist who lives and works in Bristol. She attended Byam Shaw School of Art in London, Fiberworks in Berkeley, California and Edinburgh College of Art. Central to Burnett’s practice is research and public engagement; she has worked on many projects that have involved museum collections, archives and histories.

    Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage. I absolutely love being on location with a sketchbook and pencil. I am Interested in the emotional, historical and environmental aspects of the landscape that give my work purpose and warmth.

    I worked for over 30 years as a qualified nurse, in many varied settings. I embarked on a Fine Arts Degree to fulfill a long held ambition.
